The above photo (part of an ad campaign) is being circulated throughout the Israeli press. The organisation that sponsored the ad operates (for hungry Jews only) soup kitchens in every major Israeli city. Below is the ad in question….
Feeding the poor is a wonderful deed…..asking for contributions to continue this work is to be expected….. BUT…. the photo used is not one of a poor, hungry Jewish child. It is the photo of a child in Gaza at the funeral of her brother who was killed by the zionists during the blitzkrieg a year ago. The same child can be seen in THIS article that appeared in the Telegraph.
The following montage shows the child in the ad and the (same) Palestinian child.

Do they see nothing morally wrong with using images of suffering Palestinian children to raise funds for ‘Jewish only’ charities?
I have no problem supporting charitable institutions, especially those that feed the hungry, but I would NEVER support one that would turn away a non Jew, especially one such as Meir Panim.
Just another example of the inhumanity of zionism and those associated with it.

It is not enough that Israeli terrorists (masquadering as an army) are out and about in occupied Palestine killing Palestinian people at will; it is not enough that they have stolen their land, their artifacts, destroyed their culture and history, but to depict a photo of a terrified Palestinian child (terrified because of what these soulless killers had done to her family) as a hungry Jewish child is beyond reprehensible. It is sick, and it shows us all once again the true meaning of evil.
What can we do about this? We can’t simply allow this mockery to continue. We have to let the world know.
And why are there hungry children in Israel anyway? Isn’t the United States sending enough of its taxpayers money to keep this vile entity going? Or is the Israeli government spending so much on weapons that there’s nothing left over?
Everything Zionists do and say is a calculated deception; like to great fanfare Israel sending off a planeload of rescuers and aid workers to Haiti in a bid to capture the focus of the 24 hour news broadcasts around the world. But back home on the West Bank and in Gaza where there are no CNN and BBC cameras these same so holy so altruistic Zionists wouldn't let one sick or pregnant Palestinian through a checkpoint to save their life.

Thanks, Willimina. I've checked out the link, and it appears that the photo has been removed. Now all we have to do is make sure the new photo being used is not one of a Palestinian child as well.
Angie There are people looking to see if they know the new child. I have passed it on to everyone I know almost. Still have a few to go. We have also been looking for an apology from either the Charity Meir Panium or HAARETZ and to date no one has seen one. One would think if they one ounce of integrity they would.

Obama said ONE true thing at his Nobel acceptance speech. "Non-violence would not have stopped Hitler's armies." The statement holds equally true of the Nazi-inspired filth of Israel. The Israelis have to be attacked. Their busses, homes, hotels, discotheques, shopping malls have to be attacked. Israeli goods must be ripped from the shelves of every store on earth and Israelis terrorized without mercy until they are defeated.

Clash of civilizations in Haiti

Since last week's devastating earthquake in Haiti, many countries have spared no effort or resources to dispatch planeloads of rescue teams, food, water, medicines and other badly needed aid to this stricken country. With the notable exception of the Arab world, especially oil-rich Arab nations, which have chosen either to remain on the sidelines or contented themselves with what can only be described as niggardly gestures or measly contributions.
Saudi Arabia, brimming with trillions in oil revenues, sent a letter of condolences to Haitian President Rene Preval. Oil-rich Kuwait chipped in $1 million, as did Morocco. Qatar, with the third largest gas reserves in the world, managed to scrape together only a 50-ton aid package. The United Arab Emirates, noted for its conspicuous oil wealth, promised to "shortly" send a planeload of humanitarian assistance.
Now, contrast this picture of Arab frugality in the face of a human catastrophe of biblical dimensions with Israel's far more generous and warmhearted response.
In the immediate aftermath of the quake, the Israeli Home Command dispatched two planeloads with 220 aid-and-rescue personnel and a full-fledged field hospital capable of treating 500 patients a day. It's the most modern medical facility in Haiti today. Staffed by 40 doctors, the hospital is equipped with a medical lab, a pharmacy, an X-ray center, a children's ward, an emergency room, a surgical department, two operating rooms, and a maternity ward.
In short order, Israeli doctors performed 25 life-saving surgeries and assisted in the births of three babies, including one baby boy whose grateful mother decided to call him "Israel." The first couple of planes from Israel brought tons of medicines and other supplies. A third planeload followed over the weekend.
In addition to all this assistance from Israel's Home Front Command, Israeli volunteer groups — some pouring in from Mexico, others from the Dominical Republic — spontaneously pitched in. ZAKA, a highly skilled volunteer group tested and proficient in search-and-rescue operations, worked continuously over 38 hours to rescue eight students from a collapsed building at Haiti University.
Another Israeli organization, IsraAID, sent a planeload of food and equipment to supplement the overall Israeli effort.
It was a compelling demonstration of what Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu aptly described as the natural reflex of a "small country with a big heart."
By comparison, Arab countries basking in massive oil wealth, either did nothing or, when measured against their financial capacities, limited themseleves to a pitifully few measly gestures.
One gets a picture of a very large arc of ultra-rich Arab countries — with no heart at all.
As if further proof were needed that there is indeed a clash of civilizations — especially in the Middle East.
It is you who ‘CASHING IN’ ON a unwise choice made by a web designer to use this very photo. Nasty people like you, however, present this as an order received from The Elders of Zion to use this very picture. What a despicable people you are. If you really cared for Arab children, you would speak out against Hamas and Hisbullah, but you love to have as much as possible dead bodies. It serves your obnoxious propaganda well, for not for the long run. You can go on with your lies and propaganda – the world is starting to know your real face.
The Muslim and Arab world have almost done nothing to help the poor Haitians, on whose death and suffering you've been ‘CASHING IN’ shamelessly. Where are the Arab rich countries, those which possess trillions of dollars. You are nasty people.
Just for the records, many Arabs in Israel get help from the Meir Panim Israeli charity. You nasty people can contact the Bedouin Rahat city in the Negev in Israel and ask them who feeds their little children at school: I can answer you: Meir Panim. Not an Arab charity from the Arab counties possessing trillions of dollars.
As a Christian I assert the fact that Jews are much superior to you, which is why you resort to lies, blood libels and propaganda.

An Israeli charity's fraudulent use of a photo of a traumatized Palestinian child depicted as a hungry Jewish youngster is "a unwise choice made by a web designer"? Excuse me, but is this the best you can whine? If DesertPeace had not noticed this photo from a news report re the savage IDF attack on Gaza in Dec/08 and Jan/09 and brought it to the attention of readers, it would still be causing the sheeple to dig into their pockets. We see proof of this almost every day as one or more Palestinians are killed by the terrorist IDF. In its barbaric attack on Gaza, pathetically named "Operation Lead", over 400 children were killed. In total, 1400 plus people perished — is that enough dead bodies for you? Bedouin Rahat city in the Negev? In light of the ongoing Israeli demolition of Bedouin homes and confiscation of Bedouin villages to pave the way for Jewish towns, and the Bedouin fight to preserve their ancestoral homes and lands, I am surprised they have time to accept food from an Israeli charity. Try harder, James.
This article is NOT about what Israel is, or is not, doing in Haiti. Bringing Haiti into the mix is a familiar diversion. Whatever the Israeli team is doing there, it will never eliminate the horrors it has brought, and continues to bring, against the Palestinian people. And now we read that Israel will be seeking compensation from the US for its "aid" to Haiti. Always got the hand out, doesn't it? We'll go and help out, but someone else has to pay for it. Shameful.
And let's not get caught up in some sort of Israel saving Haiti scenario here. Countries from around the world were/are in Haiti, and if this baby had been born with the aid of a doctor from Cyprus or India or Canada, the relieved parents would have named it after whichever country the doctor hailed from.
Israel's blatant hypocrisy is not lost on people. In occupied Palestine, the 1.5 million people of Gaza are being forced to live amongst the Israeli-created rubble, forced to go without food and water, forced to live in tents — and Israel is responsible. No one is fooled by the Israel in Haiti movie.
