That's the thing- if Congress starts condemning Israel, then they have to start condemning our own individuals for the shenanigans which have been instigated, around the globe, for at least 50 years. Far easier to allow the same crap on a smaller scale, keep it protected, and in the process protect the US war crimes from being pursued (as most of these incidents of US war crimes are not being covered up, we're just more focused on Israel, or Darfur, or Somalia, or PETA, or whatever) because we seem convinced that we are not engaging in the exact same behavior and policies that Israel has engaged in, with full US support, for decades.

So, in short, by protecting Israel and Israeli policies, the House is protecting American policies, personnel, and actions which certainly fall into the same category as the Israeli war crimes against the Palestinian people, and Gaza in this particular case. Only ours are on a MUCH bigger scale.

Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to shift any blame from Israel, simply pointing out that, ironically, the Israeli's are being used as cover for our own massive legal war crimes situation... and they think they've got our government by the gojones.... they don't seem to be aware of how quickly we drop 'allies' and so-called 'friends' when it becomes politically expedient. Or once those 'friends' have become politically burdensome.

As far as congress goes, they can all be replaced, but it is next to impossible to get any average American to take a good hard look at things, and say enough is enough, and actually DO something about it. If you haven't learned by now that congress does not care about all the blood on it's hands, then you never will. As long as that blood is 'splashed' on by someone else, well then congress isn't to blame. They have been playing it this way for decades and they see no reason to stop. It does not matter if it is Palestinian blood, Vietnamese blood, Somali blood, Colombian blood, Honduran blood, Afghan blood, Iraqi blood, Russian blood, Georgian blood, or even American blood. The method congress operates on is this: As long as we are not directly involved, we are blameless of the actions of those we have armed. If we are directly involved, then cover it up. If the cover up falls apart, drop the dime on the patsy. Who do you think the patsy for this decade would be? It most certainly is NOT the Palestinian people, they have been cemented in place as the victim of these crimes.

It is a heavy price for the Palestinian people to pay for this, but again, until WE THE PEOPLE have had enough and actually DO something about it, nothing is going to change. I have been hammering my representative for almost 10 years on the injustice we have allowed to happen to the Palestinian people at the hands of the Israelis, and I CAN say that MY rep did NOT vote for this ridiculous non-binding waste of time. Needless to say, I was very surprised to see a NAY vote next to mine's name. I hope it is a trend that continues and spreads among the other Representatives.

This is another act to protect Israel or Israeli policies , which are almost exactly the same as U.S. policy and it's nonsensical to say anybody is using Israel as a scapegoat , when the opposite is always the case with Congress , Protect Israel at All Costs . Deny , Deny , Deny Israel does anything wrong .

From signing position papers for Israel , advocating more military and financial aid in context of proven war crimes is business as usual and in collaboration w/ the complicit U.S. media they want to bury the issue of Israel committing WAR CRIMES and deny humanity to Palestinians , again . For they are not " worthy victims " less than human . My question is how many Palestinians have to be murdered for Congress to act with some semblance of humanity and morality to condemn Israel for proven atrocities continued today .

Unfortunately, this really isn't so much an issue of protecting Israel, as it is in protecting the US from having to cough up more than a few war criminals in the near future. The craven US House of Representatives, minus a few who voted no and should be soundly congratulated, has used the time tested and proven method of making Israel the scapegoat- the false flag. The dimwits, shylocks, and thieves of the House are simply using Israel to divert attention from the war crimes certain US citizens should be facing. And the really funny thing? The Israeli's actually appreciate this! They are stumbling over themselves in admiration of 'proving' their power over the US political system. Irony, it's so... ironic...
