In Response to Jeff Gates' At What Cost the Israel Lobby?
Jeff Gates at www.criminalstate.com, on the issue of Israeli Nuclear weapons, after exploring JFK's (perceived) role, observes of the immediate pertinent question at hand:

This response to Mr. Gates' outstanding article contrarily examines two of its key highlights: 1) Israel's Nuclear Weapons program; and 2) Israel Lobby.
Israel's Nuclear Weapons Program
My view on the Israeli Nuclear Weapons program has always been principally based on Theodor Herzl's view of the Jewish mission in Palestine, that:

Every generation of Zionist statesmen and stateswomen since then, has emphasized that indispensable role of Zionistan as a frontier outpost of the West:
There is a huge gap between us (Jews) and our enemies not just in ability but in morality, culture, sanctity of life, and conscience. They are our neighbors here, but it seems as if at a distance of a few hundred meters away, they are people who do not belong to our continent, to our world, but actually belong to different galaxy.
That was Moshe Katsav, Israel's President, in June 2001. And this is George W. Bush, as the erstwhile President of the United States, while representing the sole-superpower at Israel's 60th B-day bash in May 2008:
Our two nations both faced great challenges when they were founded. And our two nations have both relied on the same principles to help us succeed. We built strong democracies to protect the freedoms given to us by an Almighty God. ( Celebrating Israel's 60th Birthday in the 60th year of the Nakba by Bible Burning in Zionistan ).
That century year old linkage of shared ethos and sharing of same principles manifests itself in the Israeli-American relationship. It is a lot more than AIPAC and JINSA. It has to do with who the oligarchs are, and what might be their overarching agenda with respect to the Zion that will light up all the world.
The visible politicians running governments are merely the 'errand boys' who implement only their great benefactors' agendas. While Theodor Herzl and the World Zionist Federation are credited with founding Israel, the fact that it was done with Rothschild money is rarely if ever mentioned. Even by the antagonists of Israel! Notice that the Balfour Declaration was issued to Lord (Lionel) Rothschild. Why to him? The world's financial powers control both nations, as well as those of the European continent.
So, fast forwarding past the palpably obvious Israel Lobby factor, to being that 'Ubermensch' vanguard of culture against barbarianism, the farthest outpost of Western culture and civilization, Zionistan is an integral part of the world superpower equation that is being ridden hard by its ideological-financial oligarchs. In both, its la mission civilisatrice agenda, as well as a proxy henchman on the Grand Chessboard when public opinion won't allow the greatest democracy on earth to play havoc with others itself (in idyllic times now past of course).
This is what I wrote in Chapter 2 of Prisoners of the Cave in 2003, and I remain un-persuaded, still, that this is an inaccurate perception of the reality of hegemony:

How Israel got its nuclear weapons is an interesting tale, not to be rehearsed here. The Soviets were likely made aware of this because that is why they could never belligerently threaten Israel on the side of their own Arab client-states during the 1973 Arab Israeli war and essentially stayed out of it, while America openly supported Israel. And that is also what likely emboldened Israel to preemptively take out the Iraqi Nuclear reactor nearing completion in 1981 that was being built with Russian assistance, with no retaliation from the Soviets. And this was going on even as Iraq was being supplied with conventional weapons of mass destruction by America and the West and goaded on to fight Iran's Islamic revolution to neutralize it - using the Iraqis as the front foot soldiers to take the brunt of the casualties, with a nuclear armed Israel as the backup armor. I am quite certain that had Iran's counter offensive prevailed over Iraq and taken over Baghdad, that Israel would have struck with a preemptive Nuclear strike on Iran - as the immediate interests of America and Israel merged on the borders of Iran (apart from the continued out flow of oil). Thus nuclear arming of Israel was a necessity for America seen in this light - as almost an extension of America in the Middle East. An idea that JINSA has diligently pursued, to build up Israel's defenses to have it prevail over all its neighbors by wielding its nuclear club.

While it is stated by many, including Mr. Jeff Gates, that JFK was against nuclear arming Israel, his notorious letter to David Ben Gurion notwithstanding, it isn't entirely clear to me. JFK was just as beholden to Jewish money to get him elected ab initio, as every US president of recent memory. The 1951 picture below from Jeff's article, of a young JFK congressman in the home of the butcher of Palestine, David Ben Gurion, just three years into the founding of Israel on Palestinian blood and soil, screams louder than any words ever can. It appears kosher to fraternize with blood-drenched victorious founders of a nation, so long as they have kill[ed] in large numbers and to the sound of trumpets.
The hijacking of America has many hidden players. And it has been many a century in the making, of which, I believe, the Israel Lobby, although potent, and in possession of many an incantation of power, is but the most recent 'errand boy'! Getting rid of the Israel Lobby's influence on Washington is merely addressing the effect, not the cause, and therefore, highly unlikely to be successfully eliminated. Unless of course, one asserts that those identified as the 'Israel Lobby', were also the prime-movers behind the Vietnam War, the Korean War, the Cold War, Hiroshima-Nagasaki, rest of WW-II, WW-I, Nazi Socialism and Soviet Communism, the Federal Reserve Act of 1913, and the bankruptcy of America.
When Jeff Gates alludes to looking for causes by referencing his excellent article How the Israel Lobby Took Control of U.S. Foreign Policy in which he carefully analyses some of the political mechanisms and legalized subversions of democratic processes, I presume he is also searching for the real ideological policy wielders and funders of social engineering who sit atop the principal causes of America's malfunction in the Middle East and the world. They are not readily visible by scrutinizing the political mechanisms of subversion being harvested by their front organizations, 'errand boys', and 'bulldogs'!
In my view, the publicly un-apparent root-cause throughout America's history of hegemony and warfare, both silent and with bombs, has in these times finally 'broken the surface' so to speak. It is a travesty of thought and justice to ignore it and its creators any longer.
With all its legal and existential preparations completed, the root-cause, the godhead of all terrorism, wars, and pestilence upon mankind over the past hundred plus years, is now boldly heralding its one-world government, just as Carroll Quigley had announced it would way back in 1966. As genocidal as Israel is towards the Palestinians, addressing the complex issues of American foreign policy effectively must begin by first comprehending, as well as apprehending, the oligarchic players behind the scenes who have outright determined America's course for over a century. Some might argue since its very founding. Founding father Alexander Hamilton is still proudly quoted on the United States Treasury website:

They have hitherto largely remained hidden from public view. The gratuitous dollar printing, coldly admitted to by even the FED chairman Ben Bernanke, has no representative input from even the elected representatives of the people, never mind the people themselves.
There are far greater immediate dangers facing America (and the world) at the hands of the globalist oligarchs than by their 'errand boy', the 'Israel Lobby'. Nation-states have been losing their sovereignty in gradual premeditated stages through entirely un-representative and pernicious 'end run around national sovereignty, eroding it piece by piece. And in the latest round of UN 2009 Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) which President Obama is intending to sign in Copenhagen in December 2009, unless stopped immediately, drastically more world government will get created. The UN already controls emergency pandemic management within the United States under the WHO charter of 2005, to which the US (I believe), as most of the world, is a signatory. See the Swine Flu Chronicles 2009 for the role of WHO in determining United States domestic response to the 'pandemic' in collusion with other public agencies who seem to be beholden to un-elected powers. So which power is behind WHO?
That pernicious process of systematic loss of national sovereignty to global governing bodies of the oligarchs has little effective public representation. It is rubber-stamped all the way and the public doesn't even get to hear about it until after the fact, if they are lucky. And that has little to do with the loss of Representative Democracy due to the Israel Lobby's influence-peddling for its single-issue advocacy of Israel First. All these are effects.
To effectively counter Israel's barbarianism upon the Palestinians, to extract America from the clutches of the 'Israel Lobby', to wean the newsmedia and mythmakers away from their 'Israel can do no wrong' ethos, the path must go through their common ideological controllers who own BIS! Both abhorrences, Zionism and World Order, are their Tragedy and Hope.
Neuter the root-head first-cause which spawns all political subversions of the 'democratic process', and the existent 'errand boys' and their 'bulldogs' will automatically lose their bite and also die away.

Well, Zahir may be "quite certain" but he has offered his readers nothing to support his contention. In fact, one has to buy into the dubious notion that Iran is a mortal enemy of the US for this assertion to be sensible in the least. No Zahir, nuking Iran serves no Western interest, only Zionist aims would be furthered. It is bad enough that an endless parade of Zionists like Chomsky have our ears and endlessly push Israeli goals as beneficial to the West, must we also repeat these mantras ourselves?
America doesn't need a "nuclear armed extension in the M. E." America has ICBMs and aircraft carriers as well as strategic nuclear submarines. None of these assertions about Israel serving the West withstand minimal critical analysis.

Why would Zahir base his views on US Middle East policy on this outdated sales pitch for Zionism? Does he truly regard Islam as barbaric? Does he accept Western exceptionalism as his own worldview?
I do concur with this statement of Zahir's:
"The world's financial powers control both nations, as well as those of the European continent."
However the conclusion I draw from this reality is different from his. It seems as though true Western interests are being violated by the dominance of a financial elite. Lets not conflate the interests of a transnational financial elite with the interests of Western nations. The late Giovanni Arrighi wrote a book on the history of capitalism titled The Long Twentieth Century. In this book one learns that empires rise and fall while capital is mobile and enduring. Yes even empires serve a master, great powers with armies have always required access to finance. So let's not pretend that the racist aims of the transnational financial elite are in the service of the peoples of Europe or North America or even their empires. Jewish supremacism does not even serve the interests of the vast majority of those who self identify as Jews, it does serve the transnational financial elite though.
In any event, I also do concede that Gate's view that Kennedy challenged Israeli primacy is far from being a solid fact, we simply don't have a conclusive proof. It falls into the realm of a possibility, and an improbable one at that.
There is much that I agree with as well as disagree with in Zahir's post, but I will limit myself to his suggestion that a photo of young John F Kennedy with Ben-Gurion in 1951reveals all we need to know about JFK. Frankly, that photograph is of no importance when one evaluates what JFK did after being elected to the White House backed by Jewish funds.
Both the public and private record, now declassified and available at the National Security Archives website, shows that Kennedy was adamantly against Israel acquiring nuclear weapons and was repeatedly disturbed by the lies being fed him by Ben-Gurion. His successor, LBJ, surrounded on all sides by wealthy and influential Zionists, would look the other way.
Secondly, JFK supported both publicly and privately, as again revealed in declassified documents, the Palestinian right of return (Res. 194), the only and last president to do so.
Finally, JFK had his Justice Dept., under his brother and attorney general, Robert, actively pressing the American Zionist Council, the precursor to AIPAC, to register as a Foreign Agent (see Grant Smith's excellent "America's Defense Line," an effort that petered out with his death and the takeover of Justice by Nicholas Katzenbach.
All three of these issues were red lines that Israel would not allow to be crossed. Something had to be done to prevent JFK getting his way. It was. Nov. 22, 1963.
Why none of this is not more widely known one could point to the Zionist's gatekeeper, Noam Chomsky, who not only has never written about any of these issues, his famous Fateful Triangle, long considered the "bible" for pro-Palestinian Middle East activists, does not even mention him once and RFK appears only in a footnote having nothing to do with the Israel-Palestine issue.
JFK made the fateful decision when he refused Israeli prime minister Ben Gurion's demand that Washington help Tel aviv to become a nuclear power. JFK told Ben that he could not that because then he would have to help America's Arab allies too. Congressman once said that he wonders why Mossad's name is not mentioned in JFK's assassination – when it was Israel which gained the most from the removal of JFK?
Noam Chomsky is son of Zionist Jewish parents. He, as ayoungman, even made Aliya to Israel and lived there in a Jewish settlement built on stolen arab land. The target of his criticism is always American imperialism – and the Zionazi state of Israel.
As far the iron grip of Jewish Lobby (AIPAC, ADL, AJC, CFR, etc.) is concerned – only a fool will believe that its members are more loyal to the US than Israel.

And ponder on that question in the first excerpt: why does no one mention that sacred-cow untouchable name in any contemprary context?
Do search for that name on this august think-tank forum and see what comes up?
Has that name, or the oligarchs bearing that name, become extinct?
Or do they, in fact, control the crucial lever which controls the world?
Who participates in masking that name from public view?
Just take a look at the so called dissent space. Almost 100% of its dissent-chiefs!
The "almost" is left there as the measely exception for that tiny number of odd malcontent in the ocean of the supposed bullies to power, who are labeled the 'conspiracy theorist', and also the ones to only be administered the Hemlock. Academic respectabilty, tenure, and many other things are denied if one dares to go there.
Because then, god forbid, there might in fact be some real efficacy to dissent – to hectoring power while not masking its real levers nor echoing its axioms – of really unpeeling the masks off the faces of those who criminally conspire to stamp their jackboot on the human face.
Truth-tellers far more educated and learned, and most certainly far more intelligent and motivated, than an ordinary plebeain can surely do a far better job than merely point out their disagreement on an insignificant issue – what did JFK do for the Palestinian people. I gladly concede, to avoid incessant debate on a red herring, that JFK was perhaps the best President the American people could have had, despite his many failings. The fact that his head was blown-off does indeed carry some weight. Let us together re-focus our collective energies on that which can make a real change to our condition. Rehearsing the history of faits accomplis, and of glorified (or demonized) dead people who play no significant role today in molding contemporary events, while certainly useful, if not just for selling books – and being accorded lofty apellations from none other than the kings' vassals themselves – then surely, at least for the wisdom of Bernard Shaw: "We are made wise not by the recollections of our past, but by the responsibility for our future."
If diabolicalness be the real-agenda behind manufactured dissent ( print-humanbeingsfirst.blogspot.com/2008/06/wmd-master-social-science.html ), of side-tracking the handful of conscionable energetic peoples with inefficacious pursuits and mindless debate, of accurate narration of the puppetshows without discovering the strings of the puppetmasters, of merely paying lip-service to "responsibility for our future" while running the flock on a treadmill of ZERO efficacy in the million vacuuous words and plentiful anemic marches which are subsequently outright dismissed by the king as "focus group", then, making a clean break from that container full of red-herrings might be a tad useful. No?
Being a think-tank surely ought to be more than merely regurgitating-narrating-writing-debating history, and whose version is more correct, articulating laments in voices more poignant than a canary's, commemorating anniversaries with spirit events imbued with lofty moral high-grounds and sloganeering, and adopting the nom de guerre of "thinktank". But notice that almost all think-tanks, individual or institutional, and all people on the jackboots of the tyrants who rise to challenge the tyrany of the rulers, do exactly just that. Or they are taught to do just that. Victims are calculatingly awarded prizes for their narration of their plight while permitting what is being narrated about to continue un-abated ( print-humanbeingsfirst.blogspot.com/2008/05/letter-toguardian-2008-orwellprize.html ). And so on….
Let us together change it with a gestalt shift. For I sure hate the jackboot to be permanently etched on my children and (future) grandchildren – as I am certain we all do, the lonely activist, and the silent bystanders. There is today, as there has been over the past 100-400 plus years, only one prime-mover enemy of mankind which has transcended generations, it is still living, still breathing, still hiding only in plain-sight, and still orchestrating events by controlling the essential lever which controls all derivatives: "Give me control of a nation's money supply and I care not who makes its laws".
Let's focus on them, and only them. The path to Israel-Palestine resolution goes through BIS. Not through the United States, not through the Israeli Lobby, not through American Presidents, and not through the United Nations.
