After Sderot, Will President Barak Obama Visit Gaza?

WRITTEN BY SAMI JAMIL JADALLAH  – Candidate Barack Obama visited the southern Israeli city of Sderot to express his support to the town’s people. Sderot has been marketed by the powerful Jewish media machine in the US as suffering a great deal from Hamas’ ballistic and nuclear missiles. I wonder if President Obama will make a similar visit and see for himself what America's real missiles, real jets and real bombs and rockets did to Gaza and the people of Gaza. Candidate Obama on his visit to Sderot was reaching low to win A few more Jewish votes. Would President Obama reach as high and reach the hundreds of millions around the world who condemned the war crimes committed in Gaza?

Candidate Obama expressed great support for the residents of Sderot and appreciated that the people could not have peaceful nights and could not enjoy quiet dinners with wine and music. Now that Israel has leveled Gaza, destroying its entire infrastructure, killed more than a thousand and injured several thousands and made homeless hundreds of thousands, using the latest weapons American could muster. Would President Obama visit Gaza to express his support for the hundreds of thousands of the people and visit the graves of all of the children and women deliberately killed by Israel? Witness devastation and total destruction, victims of a criminal partnership between Israel and the US. During his visit to Sderot, candidate Obama was accompanied by Israel's Tzipi Livni, Ehud Barak and Avi Dichter. Perhaps President Obama will be accompanied during his tour of Gaza by the parents of all those who lost their loved ones, by the doctors who treated the tens of thousands, by the UN relief workers who witnessed the cold blooded murder of women and children as they sought shelter.

Candidate Barack Obama went further by recording a special YouTube message to the people and residents of Sderot. Candidate Obama declared during his visit, "I think no country would accept missiles landing on their citizens". Barack continued to say," I came to Sderot with commitments to Israeli security. Israel has the right to defend itself. Peace should not undermine security." I wonder what would President Obama says to the people of Gaza as he surveys the total destruction of Gaza and witnesses the destruction of hospitals, schools, mosques, stadiums, food supplies centers, UN relief depots, the deliberate targeting of children and parents as they sough shelter from one place to another? Would President Obama express the same rights for the people of Gaza, that they too have every right to be free, every right to be safe, every right to be secure and every right to have enough food to have 3 meals a day, to have cooking oil, to have gas and heat, to have water, to have access to their sea and to connect to the outside world. The people of Gaza may not need wine for their dinners; they only need to be alive to have dinner.

I wonder what kind of YouTube message President Barack Obama would send to the people of Gaza as they see the "only democracy" in the Middle East commit one war crime after another, using with generosity the free weapons supplied by the "greatest democracy in the world" such as; F-15s, F-16s, Apache and Cobra helicopters and phosphorous bombs destroying and killing everything in Gaza. I am sure he will see and appreciate the difference between the ballistic missiles of Hamas and the paper missiles of Israel.

Israel, for many years since its creation, is a terrorist state that has been committing war crimes and terrorism, and has used death and destruction as a way of life, part of the cultural and religious value system that does not respect the human life of others. It has a value system and culture that has nothing but contempt for the lives of others, especially the Palestinians who simply refuse to go down and let go of their rights in Palestine. Israel’s history of war crimes and terrorism is long and well documented; Deir Yassin, Qibya, Souk Albaqar school, Sabra and Shatilla, Qana 1 and Qana II, Jenin, Nablus, Hebron and the list goes on and on. If war crimes qualify for Nobel Prizes, Israelis will win 9 out of 10 such prizes.

Israel is unlike any other country in the world, it has no respect and no value for human lives, especially the lives of others. It has no respect for international organizations; in fact it has nothing but contempt for the UN. Bombing and destroying a UN compound at the very moment Pank Ki Moon arrived in Israel. Israel is the only country that never respected any UN resolutions and has no respect for anyone in the world. It is a country and people unlike any thing we have seen in the last few centuries.

Someday America will wake up and discover perhaps a little late that Israel is a clear and present danger to America and Americans and the source of all of America's ills and hate around the world. America and President Obama may discover and hopefully sooner rather than later that America's total and unconditional support for Israel is wrong politics and that the views and the joy, dancing in the streets of New York City by American Jews and unconditional support by our Congress does not express the anger felt across America against Israel and its war crimes in Gaza. Perhaps President Obama and American should redefine its definition of terrorism making sure that Israel's state terrorism is terrorism even if its instruments are not explosive belts but jets, tanks, helicopters, and cluster bombs. That terrorism includes not only Palestinians attacks against restaurants and buses but Jewish terrorism directed against schools, hospitals and UN compounds.

  1. Sderot was founded on stolen lands, the stones of the arab villages are scattered around, if Hamas is targeting Sderot then it is their land they are targeting, the people there have no right to be there, Obama's visit only gave the people of Sderot strength, I am sick of hearing the robotic Sderot Sderot, and Mark Regev each time says I am protecting MY COUNTRY, how dare he, cold calculating killer, I was ashamed of Obama going there, he has to put right the wrongs of decades now, if he wants anything ressembling peace, I just had a message from Bethlehem from a group of young men who said, we are weak, we are not equal tot he Israelis, I exploded, is this what the israelis want, people cowed into submission like the jews in world war 2, it is shocking and cannot continue, we must all galvanize our energies, visit palestinian territories en masse, make the people feel they are worth something instead of this steady drip drip dehumanisation which started in 1948 in seriousness, they were called cockroaches by the Israelis then who went in and blew up their houses and killed their men and raped their woman, they want to judaise the entire region, over our dead bodies too, there are people worldwide who would take up arms against the zionists, me too

  2. Ah, how inspiring to see Mr. 'There's only one President at the time' finding the time to take a break from the golfcourse and provide the Israeli warcriminals with a much needed PR photo-op (and without embarassing White House reporters shouting 'terrorist' at Livni)

Obama may keep on pledging his allegiance to the terrorist state of Israel, much like the rest of the western leaders, yet they fail to understand that their battle is over and out: the whole world saw what happened in Gaza and is seething with rage over what Israel did.

The mask has dropped. Israel now really is the pariah-state of the world, they lost all the friends they had, well… apart from some western leaders of state like Obama, Sarko the First, Blair and little Harry Potter who is heading my own Dutch government.

And their deafening silence on the Genocide in Gaza and their support for the Israeli right to defend itself didn't do their image any good either.

  3. The power and control the American Jewish community exercise in the US is not an accident and it is not born yesterday. In the closing days of WWII, the leadership of the world Zionist movement recognized and for obvious reasons that Great Britain is no longer Great Britain and the Balfour Declaration was the best thing that the fading Great Britain could offer the Zionist movement, and hence the move to the US, the great world power of the time. Recognizing the fact that it is Congress that authorizes money and aid, and not the president, and recognizing the short election cycle of the House which requires constant needs to raise money, the Zionists knew how to play the game and milk the cow. The Arabs on the other hand, and in particular the Palestinian leadership (stupid and incompetent leadership of the trio Arafat, Abbas and Quarai) failed to see America as the real power when it comes to Israel, not the Soviet Union, not Romania and not Bulgaria, but the US. No serious efforts were made to make a difference. The PLO paid ten millions to compensate the family of Kinghoffer who was murdered and thrown off the Achilles Loro, the PLO paid another $20 millions to the families of American Jews killed in Israel and now the US is holding over $120 million in escrow until the final judgment on another claim by another American Jew killed in Jerusalem. The PLO and the Palestinians Oligarch, who are quite rich and powerful, did not invest in the US public opinion as the American Jewish community. The PLO spent hundreds of millions funding small Palestinian shops so they can cheer Arafat and did not bother to spend the millions needed to make a difference. Even now with the internet, there are simply no substantial investments to reach out. What I hear from my fellow Americans and their disgust and anger over the crimes in Gaza is more powerful than what we hear from the Fatah leadership in Ramallah. We the Palestinians have a very serious problem. We have idiots and retards in charge and we do not seek the best and the brightest to lead and make a difference. Our fight with Israel could not be won with guns; we simply do not have what it takes to win a power fight. However we have an excellent cause, and we need to develop a strategy that can and will work. Massive consistent peaceful uprising at all levels every day, day in and day out until the Occupation end. The sad truth is the PLO and Fatah as subcontractors and agents for the Occupation. As such first we have to get rid of the PLO and the leadership and clean house and then settle down for a long drawn up fight with Israel. All I can tell you, that Israel will not control America for long. The American Jewish Lobby could not hold America hostage and under siege much longer. Gaza was the straw that broke the camel’s Back. Israel will be defeated by the will and determination, off course you need to add few millions here and there and above all clean smart and dedicated leadership, not the garbage we have now. The War on Gaza was a cooperative effort between Ramallah, Cairo, Tel-Aviv and Washington. All parties want to bring Fatah and Abbas back to Gaza on the top of an Israeli tank. Period.

  4. My question would be – "After whining in front of the Wailing Wall – Why did Obama pulled his pants and walked a few steps up to visit the Al-Aqsa Mosque," – which to some historians could be the Third Temple of Mount. After all, there are more more Muslim voters in the US than the Jewish.

  5. Shaukat. It took the Blacks in America centuries to be recongized as human being deserving of rights like all others, and it took the Blacks in America some 60 years from the days of segregations in the South ( where my father as an immigrant, with a darker skins from peddling door to door in South Carolina) was refused service in a resturant and now look at what we have. The first African-American president. A great moment in the history of the US and the world and a milestone. The Zionists have been working so hard for so many years to take over America hostage and make it an occupied territory since 1946 in the closing days of WWII. It will take sometimes and some hard work from all of us to declare America free of Zionism. No way for President Barack Obama to walk up the short distance to the Al-Aqsa Mosque and win the nomination. He had to fight day and night the accusation by die hard Zionist Jews and Evangalical Christians that he is not a "closet Muslim" I am happy and proud that we as Americans have a first Black American President than a first Muslim Americans. I think Black Americans are more deserving and are worthy of the presidency than Muslims and Jews.
