Why are we so violent? Why does the human race,everywhere resort to what we know contradicts our morality, our apex messages from our spiritual leaders, from G_D? Are we destined to continue our knee-jerk reactions to violence until we kill each other off? We have to break the cycle of viloence someday,one day or we just keep suffering this insanity. My kid was jumped coming home from school and i saw it,broke it up and tried to tell that kid and my kid that violence is wrong. Who am i fooling? At school they are taught to worship a flag no matter where it goes,no matter what it does to whomever. This is done in every nation,at every church,synogoge,mosque and temple. We are good, they are bad and we can kill and it is right,but when our enemy does it is bad. Dispair? Heart-wrenching my soul until its twisted and black. Oh G_D, i can't take this anymore. Hundreds of kids killed by a military machine and the world is silent, my nation condones it and i'm sick to my stomach. Who am i to stem this evil of violence? All my peers, my 'peace hero's' are dead usually from violence. When is enough,enough?

Wow, that being shot at excuse is getting a little tired, how many times can it be used to cover up genocide? I think it was gunfire coming from the UN relief station as a reason to shell the hell out of it, right? Really, all of this is nothing more than Israel taking all the fancy high tech weapons and gear that we, the US, hooked them up with and using Gaza as a nice military war game with live test subjects. Been planning it for a year or more, they broke the 6 month ceasefire knowing it would give them an open door before they go after Iran. Disgusting.

Sorry for the double posting.

The story is in the NYTimes as well. It's in the 'World' section, online edition. I don't know where it lies in the print edition. I do know it was one of the stories in an e-mail I received from the NYT.

I saw it up front last night on MSNBC, but Obama's inauguration is overshadowing a lot of the news and, I don't see it without having to hunt.

Richard Engel is now in Gaza. He's chief foreign correspondent for NBC/MSNBC. He's been a frequent guest on Rachel Maddow's show lately discussing the Gaza crisis.

You hear him crying live on the show on the phone, and the smirk of the interviewer, explaining what happened to the viewers and asking him how he feels – is disgusting.

You know, I don't see this in the video I viewed. The 'interviewer' who is listening to the doctor seems to be shaken (disturbed) by what he's hearing. The English translation doesn't hint at the doctor being asked 'how he feels.'

Reading and listening to this juxtapositioned with watching the Obamas & Bidens travel by train to D.C., readying for the upcoming inauguration – I don't know. Just once I want Israel to made to answer for the sh*t they cause, just as Bush & Cheney should be made accountable for the sh*tstorm they've created.
