hamas is no real threat to Israel, as this writer correctly points out Israel can obliterate them. But Israel holds itself to a higher standard for its own people and even its enemy. Until the palestinians elect and maintain a government that will look after their own needs rather than spew hate they are destined to the subpar existence they have been relegated to.

Even James Zogby, on CNN, said Israel should promote economic activity and other societal opportunities for the palestinians, sounding strangely like he is abandoning self rule for palestinians as he realizes that to date no palestinian "leaders" have credibly taken up the cause of growth, safety, lawfulleness, sanitary living conditions, justice, education.. all the duties of government that civilized societies take for granted.

Until true leadership shows up in gaza, Abdul Sixpack can't accomplish what should be important to him, getting a decent job and supporting and educating his kids in safety.
