However it is partially the result of the continuous war against Israel prosecuted by some Palestinians. The creation of an independent Palestinian state alongside Israel is a major step toward resolving that conflict, but the issue of discrimination will remain an issue, as it did in the United States for many years and is only recently progress toward resolution.
