Thanks for posting my cartoon, Haitham. This was a difficult subject for me to approach considering my drawing style. Seriousness is Carlos’ area. I hope this doesn’t seem to minimize the subject. I have yet to be able to convey my anger over these events.
David
1,050 Palestinian children have been killed by Israelis since September 29, 2000-and 123 Israeli children have been killed by Palestinians.
http://www.ifamericansknew.org/
And how many children have been traumatized and terrorized because they were caught in the crossfire of violent actions by the hopeless and violent retaliation from their occupiers?
I fear it is a generation whose childhoods have been ‘murdered’ because of the military occupation they have been born into.
And how many Americans are aware of their culpability for the many weapons of destruction Israel employs that were “MADE IN USA” and the billions of tax dollars that have supported the ongoing violence?
NOT nearly enough!
Anyone who will give me the chance, i will tell them about George of Beit Jala, the little boy on my website banner.
In 2000, George was ‘captured’ on film the morning after the IOF knee-jerked over retaliated about a few hopeless snipers that had infiltrated his west Bethlehem neighborhood to shoot towards the illegal settlement of Gilo, about a mile away.
If George had been in his bed he would be dead for it was filled with “MADE IN USA” shrapnel.
When will it be enough for enough good people to say enough is enough?
What will it take for the sons of Abraham and daughters of Zion to lay down their weapons of destruction and open their eyes and hearts and see what they are doing to the children caught in the crossfire of violence-and all are terrorized by it.
eileen,
As Israeli Haitham work is hard to watch. but I wish to bring in that the fact that so many Palestinians children effected and die for the security of Israel is an Issue Israelis do care about. as it is Israeli Internal fear that make them put Security as most important we are locked in a dance of extremists who use this unbalance between our society to attack any practical effort to find compromise.
The children effected by the Dance of the Israeli and Palestinians and the lack of trust that if one side stop this bloody dance the other side will stop too.
we need real program to create the trust and create arrangement so our societies will sustain justice and social responsibility for the sake of the children of Palestine Arabs and Jews. one sided blame can support the pride and strength the belief that the Palestinians honor can be restored but it play to the hands of the “dancers” who make this conflict longer and bloodier with Palestinians children paying the major price.
innocent kids are not part of this war… how many kids needs to suffer because of their selfish fighting…
i’m not palestinian but i do feel their grievances…
Allah be with them always….
Mean while, the killing continues, and business is as usual in occupied Palestine

Then “israel” uses its pitiful hasbara mouthpieces to cover up its vulgarity and vile crimes!
That is what the Mischief Makers DO
But what the Mischief Makers deceptively and misleadingly blather is peace peace peace
I along with every principled person with conscience in the world repeat to their deaf ears:
STOP your CRIMES evil doers, then talk about security
Give JUSTICE wicked ones, then talk about peace
But Mischief Makers cry peace, but what they mean is war; they scream freedom but what they mean is enslavement; they shout democracy but what they mean is democracy for their own kind.
The Quran describes such people whose words contradict their deeds:
“And when it is said unto them: Make not mischief in the earth, they say: We are peacemakers only. Are not they indeed the mischief-makers? But they perceive not.” (2:11-12)
But mischief makers perceive not
The look in his eyes
I’m closing my eyes
I can no longer bear to see
The look in his eyes
Staring at me
My eyes tightly closed
But I still can see
The look in his eyes
Staring at me
Big, dark, brown eyes
Staring at me!!
I aimed so carefully
Pointing at his heart
I trained so perfectly
To tear a head apart
He falls to the ground
A big sigh of relief
He’ll close his eyes
And the dark brown eyes
I no longer have to see
S l o w l y …opening my eyes
Only just to see
The dark brown eyes
Staring at me
I close my eyes
Hoping not to see
The look in his eyes
Staring at me!
The look in his eyes
I cannot wipe away
My gun is helpless
It cannot defend me
My tank is useless
In protecting me
His dark brown eyes
Are haunting me
The look in his eyes
Defeating me!
