It is George who adorns the banner of WAWA. George is standing in the rubble of what had been his bedroom the night before the IOF destroyed it in retaliation for a few hopeless snipers who had infiltrated to shoot at Gilo, the illegal Jewish only settlement about a mile away.

For certain, the pictures are important, but I think that the public is anaesthetised. They stop looking at the people in them as human beings and just don't care anyway.

How horrible we all have become!

The shrapnel that filled George's demolished bedroom was imprinted with:

One Photo can affect one and change the course of their life.

Today is August 6th; the 63rd anniversary of the most brutal act of terrorism upon innocent people; America's atomic bombings of Hiroshima, which was followed up on August 9th with the bombing of Nagasaki.

When I was a child, I saw a photo of a naked Japanese girl with her arms outstretched running in terror from a mushroom cloud in the far distance.

I could not comprehend how my country could cold bloodedly target and murder Japanese citizens in order to 'save' American lives, which was the response I always received from every adult I questioned.

As an adult, I am outraged over the rhetoric to bomb Iran and aggrieved that no government official has yet ever expressed sorrow for the Japanese lives that were vaporized and all those that were traumatized from living through the devastation in 1945.

If THAT DAY, we call 9/11 taught the USA anything, it should be that America's nuclear arsenal cannot defeat 'terrorism' or provide security from the actions of a few violent mad men who target and murder innocent ones.

America has a nuclear arsenal of over 10,000 weapons and nearly 2,000 remain on hair-trigger alert ever since the end of the Cold War.

An estimated 150 – 240 tactical nuclear weapons remain based in 5 NATO countries and the United States is the only country with nuclear weapons deployed on foreign soil.

American taxpayers provide $54 billion annually to maintain WMD's, which is but a drop in the bucket of the overall U.S. military spending.

The U.S. is also a co-conspirator in international nuclear apartheid and collaborator in Israel's policy of nuclear ambiguity a major reason for the unrest in the Middle East.

Vanunu's 60 Photos taken in 1986 exposed Israel's clandestine WMD facility, but the USA has never insisted Israel open up the Dimona to IAEA inspectors or sign onto the NPT.

American money is imprinted with "IN GOD WE TRUST" but reality is we have become a nation of hypocrites, for our foreign policy lives by the sword.

A Photo of George, a little boy of Bethlehem -Beit Jala- taken in 2000 changed the course of my life.

It is George who adorns the banner of WAWA. George is standing in the rubble of what had been his bedroom the night before the IOF destroyed it in retaliation for a few hopeless snipers who had infiltrated to shoot at Gilo, the illegal Jewish only settlement about a mile away. The second I saw George's eyes, my heart said:

DO SOMETHING.

When I met George for the first time in June 2005, I vowed I would devote the rest of my life to doing something to help End the Occupation of Palestine.

I had a similar discussion with a professor of ethics of journalism at a meeting. He wondered if it was a good idea that my website had pictures of bleeding young children. But he was worried from another angle, his point of view is that such pictures might be disturbing to the reader.
I asked him then... have they disturbed you? he answered...well, yes they did.
I then said GOOD. This is what those pictures are supposed to do, they are supposed to shock you and bring your human feelings to the top.
Newspapers are not telling the whole story, and worried about the feelings of the readers of some countries. The governments of those same countries...are sending all the aid and money to shell our children. Fathers and mothers should see what is hapening to our children with the same money they pay in tax. The media is not doing the descent thing, and the ordinary citizen in USA and EU countries do not know enough because of certain policies in the media.... they should get the information from other sources to be able to take a stand, or make a decession.
