This is an outrageous abomination. Absolutely intolerable.
Ms. Ashrawi Hutchison can probably obtain a lawyer through B'Tselem, the respected human rights organization, which is opening, or has recently opened, an office in Washington, DC. I hope that she will fight this cruel edict from the Israeli government.
Please, Ms. Ashrawi, send an e-mail to this address: mail@btselem.org. Even if B'Tselem cannot help you, they should know about this situation.
For my part, I will spread your story to as many people as possible, including the Ombudsman of the Washington Post. I am not affiliated with B'Tselem, but I have a lot of respect for their work.

A message has been sent to the above LUISA MORGANTINI referring to the current negotiations of the EU to upgrade the trade relations with Israel.
A message has been posted to the Guardian pointing out that EU citizens can live anywhere and come back to their respective countries without losing their citizenship.
A message has been posted on the Independent message board, asking if they will publish this story, and not be influenced by the Israel Lobby, just as pervasive as AIPAC in America.

This story is an example of the outrageous policies of Israel towards the Palestinians, whether American, European and I would conjecture, African, including African Jews.
Israel is a racist state and there are many horrific stories of its treatment to 'undesirables' especially in the Ben Gurion airport, where strip searches of six year old girls and cavity searches of old women in wheel chairs abound. All this is willfully and understandably swept under the carpet in the main media. Understandably because .wider publicity would damage the perceived image of Israel as a 'beacon of democracy in the Middle East' exposing their horrendous treatment of Palestinians and Arabs even within their own borders, which, incidentally have never been agreed on or defined. How telling is that? They hide everything because a breath of fresh air around the world would bring mass outrage at their policies. They cannot afford publicity, cannot sustain themselves in the face of divestment and Boycotts, because their policies are morally corrupt and inadmissable, and they know it. Hence the news blackout world wide on everything they do.

Reading the article broke my heart. The people in USA, Canada, EU countries do not know such details. But government officials do.
I hope one of them would just forget about politics for a moment, and hear your cry and many othe Palestinians denied entry to their homes. I have already said that in the last NUJ conference in Belfast ( how come a total stranger can come to Palestine from Russia or India .. or any where else as long as he is a Jew and enjoy living in my country, while we are denied to open the doors of the homes that witnessed our childhood memories…???)
