UN Incites Israel and Europe Against Syria

By Kawther Salam • Jun 19th, 2008 at 11:11 • Category: Middle East Issues, Newswire

Is it permissible for UN officials to express their partiality with Israel against Syria, or to incite one side of the Arab-Israeli conflict against the other? Was Terje Rød-Larsen expressing his personal opinion on this, or was he stating the official position of the UN ?

Terje Rød-Larsen, a.k.a. "Terry Larson", the special envoy of the UN Secretary General for the implementation of Security Council Resolution 1559, incited Israeli diplomats against Syria before ending the second round of negotiations in Turkey. Larsen harshly criticized the Israeli-Syrian negotiations. He accused Israel of "giving Syria legitimacy for free without receiving anything in exchange". Larsen charged Europe too. He stated that "Europe is courting the Syrians" because of the negotiations with Israel, and that "they are no longer being asked to give anything in exchange".

Terje Rød-Larsen forgot that Europe gave everything, absolutely everything, to Israel, and that Europe recently raised the level of their relationship with Israel without thus far having received anything in exchange (bar troubles and recriminations), while Israel continues their theft of Palestinian land, building illegal colonies on stolen Palestinian property, and committing crimes against humanity while expecting not only impunity but applause. And since it is somehow topic, let’s not forget that Israel stole the Golan Heights from Syria over 30 years ago, and has been able to keep them only because the UN, where Terry works, helps to cover up this theft to this day.

The proclamations of Terje Rød-Larsen are the norm for certain individuals endowed with a defective psyche, people who are more than challenged when it comes to discern reality from pipe dreams, or from the wishes of their master. And who would be Terje Rød-Larsen’s master? Well, when he went to Hebron he was almost shot by the IDF, and they would probably have done just that if I had not been present together with a colleague to defuse the situation, while poor Terry was so scared that he was unable to utter one word. Strange how he did not take this incident as a motivation to see what Israel is all about. Perhaps he has no spine? Regardless, it appears that Terry now knows very well who his masters are.

And, what better place of employment for somebody who has neither a spine nor the ability to discern reality, than at genocide central? Only people with a sick mind and a total lack of character could bring together the record of organizing genocide and protecting its perpetrators around the world of the UN. Since the inception of the UN, genocide has become prevalent and common, and almost all crimes of genocide around the world have gone unpunished: the wholesale theft and genocide in Palestine, the Ruanda massacres, Vietnam, Yugoslavia, Lebanon, Irak, just to name a few. I am sure that Terje Rød-Larsen has a safe job, because there are still many genocides to perpetrate and many criminals to protect, and the impunity of Israel must be ensured at all costs because the Zionists have not yet stolen everything from and murdered the last of us Palestinians. And Terry knows who his masters are.
