“We didn’t mean to kill them…” By ‘them’ we mean Palestinian children. After all, they are Palestinian children, those are who are supposed to grow up to become ‘Palestinian terrorists!’ so why care for them? We even kill anybody who dares to care for them, we killed that person who devoted his life for caring for ‘the subhuman’ Palestinian children, we caught up with him even as far away as in the land of our great ally, supporter and defender…and against whom we spy and betray, and we were ready to lie and say he committed ‘suicide’.

We killed that man there, that man who came from Beirut, from the neighborhood of his people, the Arab Palestinians refugee camps, camps of long and great sufferings. He decided to support Palestinian children. Isn’t his name Riad As-Solh Hamad? It is his fault. Why did he care for those whom we say we killed by mistake, and we suppose that we shall kill more and more of them, and naturally we will claim we killed them by mistake.

Why they don’t want to leave this land that is theirs, to go somewhere else, to some desert and leave what is theirs to us? We want this land and they should understand, or else we shall keep killing them all, starting with their children, their women and the it’s time for the men: the old and the young who care for those whom Riad dared to care for…

Didn’t our great historian, Benny Morris, say that the non-white barbarians should be annihilated to make way for the white Europeans to colonize new lands? It’s their inherited right, the whites wants to establish new and great democracies, just like the whites in the new world. To do it they just had to annihilate the barbarian Red Indians, and if they didn’t do that, how would this great American democracy have come into existence? You see, didn’t they civilize the Red Indians in their graveyards away from their prairies that were waiting to be turned into a great nation? This is only fair and just.

For 60 years we have been killing them, and we shall continue killing them, and shall continue lying, because we have to. They don’t understand, but sometimes it seems that we are those who don’t understand that they shall end up with killing us if we don’t escape with our skins… Someday we will regret for not understanding that those people who are ready to sacrifice whatever is dear and precious to them so as not to leave their land to us… For sixty long years we have been celebrating and they commemorate and sacrifice. So we should understand before it is too late for regretting for our lack of understanding. Right or wrong, these are the facts on the ground…

Our sixtieth year of ‘independence’ didn’t stop them from commemorating their Nakba. Not to weep, but to keep their memory alive. And one day, whether it will be few in years or even after many years, those Palestinian Arabs will seem to be adamant to celebrate their independence, their liberty and their victory. Only then shall we return to our wailing wall, hit it with our heads and cry for our lack of understanding that when there is the will there is the way, and it seems, without a doubt, even after sixty long years of suffering, these people are insisting on returning from their Shatat (what we call diaspora), and the bones of their martyrs shall rise from death to life to welcome them back home, didn’t Jesus Christ/Esa do it in this same land?

History shall certainly repeat itself, the same criminal and the same victim, which rises to celebrate the resurrected life.

“لم نرد أن نقتلهم…” ونعني بهم، الأولاد والبنات الفلسطينيين. قبل كل شيء، ما هم إلا بنات وصبيان فلسطينيين، هؤلاء الذين سيكبرون ليصبحوا “إرهابيين فلسطينيين”! لذا لماذا نهتم بهم؟ على كل نحن على استعداد أن نقتل كل من يتجرأ أن يهتم بهم، لقد قتلنا ذلك الرجل ألذي نذر حياته للعناية بهم، هؤلاء الحشرات، الصغار الفلسطينيين، لقد أمسكنا به في أرض بعيدة، بعيدة جداً، في أرض حليفتنا الكبرى، داعمتنا، ممولتنا، دعامتنا، مسلحتنا والتي تدافع عنا، تدافع عن جرائمنا ضد الإنسانية… هؤلاء الحلفاء الكبار الذين نتجسس عليهم في عقر دارهم… ونخونهم، وكنا على استعداد بأن نكذب ونقول أن ذلك الرجل ألذي اهتم بهم، قتل نفسه… انتحر!!!

لقد قتلنا ذلك الرجل، الرجل الذي أتى من بيروت، من جوار مخيمات بني شعبه الفلسطينيين العرب، مخيمات الذل والهوان والعذاب والتعتير… ولكن مخيمات الصمود. هذا ألذي فقد عقله فقرر مساعدة الفلسطينيين الصغار، أليس اسمه رياض الصلح حمد؟ إنها غلطته… لماذا يهتم لأمر هؤلاء الذين قلنا بأننا لم نرد أن نقتلهم، ألم نقل بأننا قتلناهم بالخطأ؟ وسنقتل المزيد والمزيد مهم، وطبعاً وسندعي بأننا قتلناهم بالخطأ!!! إنهم يصرون على الموت، لماذا؟

لذا لماذا لا يتركون هذه الأرض، الأرض التي ما هي إلا أرضهم، ويذهبوا إلى حيث شاءوا، شرط أن يذهبوا بعيداً عن الأرض التي هي أرضهم، ليذهبوا إلى أي صحراء أرادوا… نحن نريد هذه الأرض وما عليهم ألا أن يفهمون ذلك، وإلا سنستمر بقتلهم جميعاً، بدأً بأطفالهم، نسائهم لقد حان الوقت للرجال: لكبار السن وصغارهم، من يهتم بهؤلاء ألذي تجرأ ذلك الرياض أن يهتم بهم مما كلفه حياته… نحن لا نستطيع فهم ذلك… فنحن نريد قتلهم… هذا حق موروث لنا!!!

ألم يقل مؤرخنا الكبير، بني موريس، بأنه يجب إبادة هؤلاء البرابرة غير البيض ليفسحوا المجال للأوروبيين البيض كي يستعمروا أراض أجديدة وهذا حق لهم؟ حقهم الموروث، البيض يريدون أن يؤسسوا ديمقراطيات جديدة، تماما مثل هؤلاء البيض الأوروبيون في العالم الجديد، وإذا لم يصنعوا ذلك فكيف لمثل هذه الديمقراطية الكبرى، ديمقراطية الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، أن تقوم؟ ألم تر كيف دمقرطوا ومدنوا هؤلاء الهنود الحمر في قبورهم بعد أن انتزعوهم من سهو بهم الخضراء لتقام عليها هذه الدولة الديمقراطية الكبرى؟ هذا مبرر وعمل صحيح وربما قد يكون إلههم قد وعدهم بها كما وعدنا بأرض غيرنا، أرض كنعان…

كنا ولا نزال نقتلهم قبل وبعد الستين عاماً، أي منذ أسسنا دولتنا في أرض الميعاد، لقد قتلناهم وقتلنا أطفالهم وسنواظب على قتلنا لهم، ونواظب على الكذب، فهذا حق موروث وأمر اللاهي فيجب علينا تنفيذه. إنهم لا يفهمون… ولكن خوفنا بأنه سيأتي يوما إن عجلاً أو آجلاً، سيأتي يوم، كما يبدو، قد نكون نحن الذين لا نفهم، بأنه سينتهي بهم الأمر سيقومون بقتلنا نحن إذا لم نفلت بجلدنا… سيأتي يوم سنندم فيه لعدم فهمنا بأن هؤلاء البرابرة على استعداد للتضحية بكل غال ونفيس، بأرواحهم وأموالهم، تلك التي لم ننهبها ولم نزهقها حتى لا يتركوا أرضهم لنا ويفروا… منذ ستون عاماً ونحن نحتفل وهم يحيون الذكرى ويضحون. لذا علينا أن نفهم قبل فوات الأوان ونندم فيه عندما لا ينفع الندم، صح أو خطأ، ولكن هذه هي الحقائق على الأرض…

هذه السنة الستون “لاستقلالنا” ومع هذا لم يتوانوا عن إحياء ذكرى نكبتهم، لكنهم لا يبكون ولا يعولون، ليبقوا الذكرى حية. وفي يوم، أكان هذا اليوم بعد سنوات قليلة معدودة أو حتى العديد من السنوات، الظاهر وربما الأكيد، هؤلاء الفلسطينيون العرب سيحتفلون باستقلالهم، حريتهم ونصرهم. عندها سنعود إلى حائط مبكانا لنقرعه برؤوسنا بشدة ندما، حيث لا ينفع الندم، لعدم فهمنا بأنه عندما تكون هناك العزيمة والقرار فهناك السبيل، وبلا شك، بأنه بعد ستون عاماً من الآلام والعذاب، وبإصرار هؤلاء الذين ندعوهم بالبرابرة يصرون ويحققون عودتهم من شتاتهم، أي ما ندعوه ب”الدياسبورا”، وستقوم عظام شهدائهم من الموت إلى الحياة، القيامة، لتستقبلهم وتهنئهم بالعودة إلى أرض الوطن المحرر، ألم يقم ابن هذه الأرض المسيح عيسى ويطأ الموت بالموت.

التاريخ سيعيد نفسه، المجرم ذاته والضحية ذاتها في الأرض ذاتها، ستقوم لتحيي الحياة بقيامة أزلية.

We really didn’t mean to do it. Again we didn’t mean to do it. We have never meant to do it. Yet as usual, even though we didn’t mean it – we hit them. We hit them 1,000 times already without meaning to do it. We have killed a total of 1,000 Palestinian children since the second Intifada broke out on September 29, 2000. A thousand.

We already have a special procedure for cases where a Palestinian child dies as a result of a misfired missile, a misaimed shell, an unfocused helicopter, or a distracted sniper. At first, we deny a child even died. Later we argue that his own people killed him. Later we issue explanations and excuses and scenarios that only become dumber with the passage of time.

Then comes the turn of the “investigating officer” (it will never be an investigating judge, a scrutinizing observer, or an inquisitive civilian. It’s always an officer) who proceeds to issue some nonsense that clears us of any wrongdoing. Ultimately, we declare that the evil Arabs are at fault, because they take cover among civilians.

Yet if the regular “it was a mistake” claim has already become completely ridiculous – because how many times can one say “we didn’t mean it” without making those words empty and hollow and cold – the argument regarding taking cover among civilians is truly infuriating with its chutzpa.

A state whose military high command and the office of its defense minister are located at the heart of a crowded city, and which sends civilians, including their women and children, to “expand the boundaries of the country” and whose bridgehead for occupation and takeover regularly hides being babies and pregnant women, and which refers to its own armed soldiers who died in battle or were captured as “boys” – such state needs a very high level of nerve in order to blame others for hiding behind civilians and children.

And for those who wish to clear what is left of their conscience with the number of Israeli children killed by the Palestinians, here is a little information: Since the start of 2004, the Palestinians killed 11 Israeli children. We, during the same period of time, killed 452 Palestinian children.

But how can we even compare? After all, they mean to do it, while we don’t. (So maybe it would be better if we also start meaning to do it? Many children will be spared that way.)
