Settlers curse German lawmakers touring Hebron

Police forced to intervene after group of right-wing activists began insulting German legislators near Tomb of the Patriarchs in West Bank city. Israeli ambassador in Berlin to personally apologize.

"The Israeli police and army showed no willingness to step in and said they couldn't guarantee the safety of the delegation," the statement said. "In order to give the peace process a chance, the members of the law committee, as friends of Israel, appeal to the Israeli authorities to rein in the fanaticism of Jewish settlers."

  1. what can be said? I suppose all fanaticism is derived from hateful memories of past atrocities…hate begets hate…is this what was addressed when jesus said to turn the other cheek? very difficult for most including myself…stiil I wonder…thanks

    Is Duard defending the actions of the settlers? These settlers and IOF/Police have an arrogance never seen anywhere in the world before, and you know what, they get away with it, continually.
